Milo loving the water

The best thing i the world is seeing your dog loving life. Like most dogs, Milo is at his happiest when on a walk. He’s not into humans that much but he has to meet every dog on the walk, he is better off a lead as can be lead aggressive sometimes (I put this down to being attacked in his infancy). He is very enthusiastic when it comes to meeting other dogs, so I have to hold him back with a tasty treat until dog and owners are close, then I let him go! If Im getting the vibe from the owner they don’t want to meet then I hold him back until they have passed. It works 95% of the time.

Milo isn’t that good as fetch, he runs after a ball the first few times and then seems to get fed up with it. looking at me as if to say if you want the ball stop throwing it!

His favorite thing on a walk is meeting another cockapoo. They seem to know, they go straight into the doodle dash and go nuts for ages until one of them is knackered.  This is when he hunts out the dirtiest bit of water! The smellier and muddier the better and does drink from it too!!! The best walks for him are the ones that needs a full on shower when we get home (he doesn’t like that bit very much).

I love meeting different people. Yesterday I met a man on his mobility scooter walking his two little mongrels, they were happily trying to keep up with him, he occasionally stopped for them to have a sniff and a wee. He had loads of stories to tell, told me which vets were best and which dogs and humans to avoid! These encounters are what makes a good walk for me.

We stopped off at the nearest watering hole (no not the pub) to cool down, chase and bark at sticks and made our way home to sleep for the afternoon (Milo not me)
