Milo
Milo belongs to Luisa.
Milo is the love of my life (sorry Marcus and the kids!) He is funny, intelligent, stupid, loud, clever, anxious, energetic and lazy all in the same day. He works with me and Marcus and loves to sit on our laps. I think he thinks he’s a cat.
He loves his walks especially if there is water. He can sniff the dirtiest puddles out from a mile off. He can out manoeuvrer a grey hound and loves doing the doodle dash.
He is a bit jealous and likes to be the alpha male so cuddles with Marcus and the kids can be challenging, unless you like being humped!
He is super clever and never ceases to amaze me. He knows the difference just by ear whether I’m loading or unloading the dishwasher. He is not interested when unloading as there is no lovely food remnants to lick! He has selective hearing and will only respond to his name at his convenience, just like a cat (unless cooked chicken is involved).
We recently discovered he recall wasn’t that good when it came to sheep. Coming home from Lakes we stopped off for one last walk. We reached a lovely spot where there was a bank either side of us, we walked for a while oblivious of the sheep at the top. At the same time me and Milo saw them. He ran up to say hello but the sheep didn’t understand this and ran. Milo loved this game. I thought I would never see him again. But after 15 minutes and a lot of calling and whistling he returned to us covered in bracken and very knackered. I have never been so relieved in my life.
Milo can be annoying, hard work and a constant worry but I wouldn’t have him any other way.
