Most will, but there isn’t a set timescale
This is a very difficult question to answer. They will start to calm down by the time they are adults, (1 to 2 years) but by how much depends on their make up and upbringing. Cockapoos are a spaniel and poodle mix, two hyper dog breeds.
Dogs should always display a certain level of playfulness and enthusiasm about living. The naughty playful side (steeling socks and play biting) should subside with patient training and good socialisation. Puppy training classes are highly recommended.
Female pups will mature faster than the males (true of human life) You should never try and stop or dampen the energy levels of your pup, they are doing what is natural.
Dogs love routine the more of a routine you have with your dog the more they should calm down and feel confident. All they want is to know their place in the pack. Without this they will feel confused, withdrawn, anxious or worse still uncontrollable as they think they need to be the alpha male. A secure dog is a confident and relaxed dog.
Sticking to a routine of walks, play, food and training will give him a sense of security and he will know who’s the boss. They will feed off your emotions also, if you are a calm owner, they tend to become a calmer dog.
