Puppies are babies at the end of the day. They need a lot of looking after. That’s obvious I hear you say. Do not underestimate how needy puppies are. They will be totally reliant on you to guide them through their adolescents. Set good foundations now and you get an easier life when they are mature.
These next questions need to be considered when buying a cockapoo puppy.
Will you or a responsible person be around for most of the day?
Cockapoos like company. A 9 to 5 job would not suit any puppy. Cockapoos are very sociable animals and don’t like being on their own for too long.
Can you really afford a dog?
The average cockapoo puppy costs around £1000. But it doesn’t end there. Grooming On average £30 a time, food, vets bills, regular vaccinations, worming and flea treatments, collar, coats, toys, insurance, if you are regular holiday maker please consider where they would go if they can’t go with you. Please be realistic £70 a month is not an unreasonable figure.
It’s hard work to start with
Constant messes on your floor. Waking you up at night. Teething along with that comes chewing and biting. They do not know right from wrong at first they need a lot of time and patience invested in them. You will reap the rewards.
You have to be responsible
Train them well and they will become good doggy citizen. Pick up after them and abide by dog laws.

Cockapoos are one of the oldest crossbreeds believe it or not. If you start as you mean to go on and work hard and be patient and work hard, you will have a friendly, versatile, sociable, loving best friend.
